The stargazing night safari was out of this world! It was a privilege to have all our physics questions answered by specialist Dr Phil. We will be back for more learning from him. There were ample activities available to choose from. Pricing were just a bit steep to do more.

Absolutely loved our long weekend stay at this gorgeous bush location. Our unit was really gorgeous with everything you need for a cozy, relaxing stay. Totally peaceful and quiet - beautiful hikes or biking trails through the game reserve, where you can see many different types of antelope and wildlife (not the Big 5). The have e-bikes for hire which was an amazing new experience for us. Liz took us out and we really had fun. She also offers massages and we had a wonderful back and neck massage on our first day, which really relaxed us and got us into the holiday mood. Our unit had an outdoor wood fired hot tub which is so wonderful to destress in and you can watch the stars at night in there for hours! We cant wait to go back again. Highly reccommended

Vaalwater is a small town but it is surrounded by some fabulous scenery and a number of excellent wildlife farms. Most of the farms are as you would expect remote so a 4x4 would be useful - check access.
